This August, and the first weekend in September, there will be UTORmail maintenance every weekend. Each outage will affect only a fraction of our UTORmail customers. A tentative schedule is included below--please check back for updates. Those who are affected will not be able to access their UTORmail INBOX or other remote folders during this time. Most of those affected will also not be able to send e-mail during this time.

During this maintenance mailboxes will be moved to upgraded equipment, allowing us to begin encrypting connections for better security later this year. It will also allow us to keep up with increased demand on services. We appreciate your patience through this upgrade period.

We had intended to start this maintenance on August 3rd., but a massive external attack on the UTORmail servers took time away from ironing out some wrinkles with the new equipment.

You'll need to know your config number to determine when your mailbox will be affected. If you don't know your config number you can find it by visiting http://www.utorid.utoronto.ca . Click on "get information". Once you authenticate with your utorid and password you'll be presented with various pieces of information, including your configuration number.
